The Experience
—Kayla, Bride
I’m the creative force here at Aly Mac Photos. With over a decade of experience, I’ve had the incredible honor of telling hundreds and hundreds of love stories. It’s more than just a job. The experience you have with me is so important and my whole heart goes into working for you.
"I just wanted to reach out and thank you so much! You were so wonderful with my family and I truly appreciate your kindness and excitement to do something that means so much to us. We can't wait to see all the amazing photos you captured and I just wanted to share my gratitude! We look forward to working with you at the wedding as well! "

My goal is to create an experience that feels personal, easy, and fun. It's important for you to feel comfortable and at ease during your portrait sessions and on your wedding day. As your photographer, it's my priority that you do! I'm dedicated to being more: I’m your cheerleader, your biggest fan, and everything else in between.
Weather you know it, or even want it, we're going to be best friends for the day (and if it extends beyond that, I'm okay with that too!). We'll have a genuine connection, inside jokes, lots of laughs and I'll integrate myself so seamlessly into your people that you'll forget I'm not one of you.
"I seriously don't think we could've gotten married without Alycia there! Not only was she an excellent wedding photographer who went above and beyond to get the shots we wanted, but she also saved the day multiple times. She guided us through multiple wardrobe crises and literally had to bustle my wife's dress after the ceremony. She was calm and confident and immediately felt like part of the family. As a lesbian couple, we felt incredibly comfortable working with Alycia, and we're so grateful that she was a part of our special day. Absolutely recommend working with her!"

I've sewn brides, bridesmaids and mothers into dresses. I've applied lashes when no one else in the room knew how. I pin boutineers on grooms and groomsmen and regularly give tutorials on how to fold a pocket square. I'm basically the MacGyver of wedding photographers.
"Michael and I just wanted to take a moment to say what a wonderful experience we had today. You do a fabulous job! We appreciate how comfortable you made us and how diligent you were in making sure every aspect was perfect! We cannot wait to work with you again for our wedding." - Kayla, Bride
Getting your picture taken can be scary. I make it less scary and lots of fun. I'll guide you towards the best lighting, location and backgrounds and direct you with prompts and poses that lead to the loveliest of images. AND - I'll teach you how to dip like pros!

I've shot close to 400 weddings in my career and have worked all over the state of Oregon and Washington. As such, I find that I'm familiar with a lot of the more popular venues and also several hidden gems that people might not know about. So, as a resource to you, I've listed many (but not all) of the venue's I've worked at in my 14 years. Some more than others. If your venue is on the list feel free to ask me any questions about my experience there. I'm happy to tell you what I know.
